Our History
In March 2020, Andrea Sandoval and Jimena Toscano, both wives of LAPD officers, noticed there was a gap in the community among LAPD spouses.
“We are the foundation of the home,” Sandoval once said. “The wives hold it together at home. To empower the spouse can help empower the officer. It’s important we don’t lose focus on how this impacts the home. It’s all interconnected.”
It was that thought that spawned the formation of our incredible community and group. We know that the job of the police officer is stressful, demanding, and dangerous. But it affects more than just the officer, and the spouse sees the toll it takes on the family more than anyone.
What started as a private Facebook group with just 20 spouses has blossomed into a thriving online and in-person community of over 750 engaged and committed spouses. One of our proudest accomplishments to date is becoming a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization in late 2021.
